How strong is your brand?

Answer these simple questions with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’, as quickly as you can — score 1 for each ‘yes’.

  • Do you have a clear vision for the future for your company?
  • Do you know what your company strengths are?
  • Would your customers and potential customers recognise these strengths?
  • Do you know what your company weaknesses are?
  • Do you know how your company is perceived?
  • Have you got a set of values?
  • Are they clearly identified and implemented throughout your business?
  • Do you know who your main competitors are?
  • Have you ever profiled them?
  • Are you clear about your expertise/key areas of differentiation?
  • Does your company appearance/style reflect your key differentiator and is it appropriate for your target audience?
  • Do you know what it is that makes you unique or different?
  • Do you have a brand positioning statement that describes what you offer, for whom and how you are different?
  • Can you clearly describe your customers?
  • Do you have a brand evolution plan in place that will take you from where you are to where you aspire to be?

How did you do?
If you scored 12-15, you’re well on your way to understanding your company brand.

If you scored 7-12, there’s plenty of room for improvement. We’d love to help — contact us for a chat!

If you scored below 7, whether consciously or not, you’ve relinquished all meaningful control of your brand! Why not have a read of our branding fundamentals, beginning with ‘What is a brand and why is it important?’
